What is Telehealth Physical Therapy?
Telehealth Physical Therapy, also known as virtual physical therapy or online physical therapy, is a form of healthcare delivery that allows you to connect with our experienced physical therapists remotely using video conferencing technology. Through secure and confidential video consultations, we can assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and movement disorders.
How Does Telehealth Physical Therapy Work?

Initial Evaluation: Your journey begins with a virtual initial evaluation, where you'll meet with one of our skilled physical therapists via a video call. During this session, we'll discuss your symptoms, medical history, and goals. You'll also have the opportunity to raise any questions or concerns you may have.

Assessment and Diagnosis: Using video conferencing, our physical therapist will guide you through a series of movement tests and assessments to evaluate your condition. We may ask you to perform certain movements, demonstrate range of motion, or provide information about your pain or discomfort. By closely observing your movements and listening to your symptoms, we can develop a thorough understanding of your condition and make an accurate diagnosis.

Treatment Plan: Based on the assessment findings, our physical therapist will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. We'll explain the goals of the treatment plan and discuss the recommended interventions, exercises, and strategies to address your condition.

Virtual Treatment Sessions: Subsequent treatment sessions will be conducted via video calls. Our physical therapist will guide you through a series of exercises, movements, and self-care techniques to help you manage your symptoms, improve mobility, and promote recovery. They will provide detailed instructions, demonstrations, and real-time feedback to ensure you're performing the exercises correctly and safely.

Education and Self-Management: Throughout the telehealth sessions, we'll provide you with education about your condition, self-care strategies, and techniques to manage your symptoms. We'll empower you with the knowledge and tools to take an active role in your recovery process.

Transition to In-Person Care: If your circumstances change, your physical therapist will work with you to develop a plan to transition to in-person care at one of our LHMPTI clinic locations.
